BBI NewsBBI Introduces the GR System for faster delivery of bedding materialsFriday September 10, 2004Gainesville, GA. – Barron and Brothers International (BBI) introduces the BBI GR System for use on Hydraulic Truck-Mount and Pull-Type Litter and Shaving Spreaders. The GR System is designed to allow users to put out higher rates of bedding materials at faster speeds. The system increases the conveyor speed, yet maintains the high torque capability that is needed to get heavy loads started. Users will substantially improve productivity with the GR System by doubling conveyor speeds without creating hydraulic oil temperature problems. Richard Hagler, President of Barron and Brothers, says, “We are very excited about this innovation. Our customers have been asking us how they can spread bedding materials faster so they can be more productive. We believe the GR System is the answer they’ve been looking for” “With the GR System, depending on the application, a grower will be able to spread bedding materials in half the time.” “Not only will a grower have a spreader that is considered by some to be the most durable and reliable in the industry, this is another way they can save time with BBI equipment.” “This technology is an example of how BBI continues to respond to our customer’s needs and lead the industry with new innovations.” The GR System will save users on equipment purchases and maintenance costs because they no longer have to deal with high oil flows and elevated temperatures in order to obtain high conveyor speeds. Traditional systems that require high oil flows can be expensive and require more maintenance and repairs. The GR System virtually eliminates these problems since the entire unit requires only a minimal oil flow rate. The system can be retrofitted to many existing hydraulic units and the controls can be mounted inside a truck cab or tractor body. Barron and Brothers Int’l. is planning to unveil the GR System to the poultry industry at the upcoming Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, Georgia, October 19-21, 2004. The GR System will be available as an option on the BBI Endurance Series Litter and Shavings Spreader Line as it has been on many of their Fertilizer and Lime Spreaders. [ Back to News ] |
